football. He and his best friend, Blaine, lead the

ball once they win this season. Time stops for Hamp on the field, and he knows
how the players will act even before they do, but his personal life does not
run as smoothly. In class and with girls, he searches for the right words and
comes up empty-handed. He finally meets someone who sees and appreciates him,
but Blaine, whose own dreams teeter on the edge, stands between him and
happiness. This novel stands as a must-read for any guy who loves the game or
